Email resumes directly to csierra@genuent.comIssue Remediation Analyst - Contract Opportunity - Remote EST Hours DescriptionIssue Remediation is responsible for managing and supporting activities specific the remediation of control breakdowns and gaps through issue identification.Establish and define remediation activities within action plans.Ensure action plans are in alignment to specific line of business strategies, needs and requirements within Consumer Operations. This includes supporting the initial vetting and ownership determination for issues raised, development and execution of action plans, following completion of milestones, and timely closure of all issues.Specifically, supporting various business lines through:

  • Driving program level execution, including escalation of issues, identifying and mitigating risks, and driving key decisions
  • Challenging appropriateness, completeness, effectiveness and sustainability of corrective actions taken to address situations defined as issues
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, systems and internal controls
  • Ensuring assigned issues are properly documented and tracked as well as delivered on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with other independent risk management teams, e.g. Compliance, Legal and other key risk partners as needed
  • Drive resolution of issues through cross-functional coordination and influence
Requirements
  • 5 years in financial services industry experience, of which a minimum 3 years of experience in issues/risk/control management
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or other equivalent experience required
  • Experience managing issue remediation plans
  • Support the implementation of sustainable solutions and controls as part of the Control to eliminate issue reoccurrence
  • Work with business partners and stakeholders to ensure there is alignment of issues to RCSAs to ensure there is redesign or establishment of a control through issue closure.
  • Provide transparence of status and influence behavior through enhanced leadership reporting and communication
  • Capable of applying critical thinking to solve problems in a structured way, and develop and/or implement solutions
  • Ability to function well in a matrixed environment and influence without direct authority
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and meet tight deadlines, take initiative and act decisively
  • Demonstrated project management capability
  • Passionate and enthusiastic proven leader with the ability to motivate the team
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and unstructured problem solving
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
