Senior Python Developer / Technical Lead

Our estate planning SaaS client is growing! Seeking a Senior-level Python developer with experience in Flask or Django to join a small, thriving, profitable startup team-fully remotely! In this role, you will contribute across the full stack on the ongoing development of the proprietary estate planning application and supporting internal applications , with a focus on back-end development.

This is a fully remote, direct-hire opportunity with our US-based client. Target salary is $120,000 - $150,000 + benefits. Candidates must have valid US work authorization and be seated in the US, but can work from any US time zone. No sponsorship, subcontracting, or relocation assistance available.

Responsibilities

of the Senior Python Developer / Technical Lead:

  • Write clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
  • Design scalable and reliable applications
  • Support test and deployment of new products and features
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Manage time and resources efficiently
  • Collaborate in meetings and occasional brainstorming

Requirements of the Senior Python Developer / Technical Lead:

  • 5-10 + years of professional software engineering experience , with a focus in Python 3.x and the Flask framework ; Django framework also considered
  • Solid professional PostgreSQL experience
  • An understanding in a rchitecture patterns: micro services, scaling, load balancing
  • A deep knowledge of web development technologies and frameworks
  • Configuration CI\\CD, Git flow variants, AWS and Heroku
  • Solid professional Javascript / jQuery experience - p roficiency in React is a bonus
  • Understanding the fundamentals of software design principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent at working within teams to achieve ambitious goals
  • High energy and enthusiasm for engaging with internal and external stakeholders
  • Comfortable moving quickly in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • High bar for quality, rigor, and integrity in your own work, as well as your colleagues'
  • Smarts, tenacity, fortitude, and drive to both uncover creative solutions to existing projects, and to help bring projects to fruition
