Co-op, Quality Control, Raw Materials

This application is for a 6-month student role from July - December 2025. Resume review begins in January 2025.The Quality Control Raw Materials (QCRM) team is responsible for ensuring that all materials needed within manufacturing are inspected, sampled, tested, and released in order to meet manufacturing timelines.  This team works closely with Materials Management and Planning to meet these commitments.  As a co-op within this team, you can expect to learn how materials are introduced into the facility and how the quality control team ensures that these materials meet all quality standards before being released for use within the facility.Position DescriptionAs a co-op, you are responsible for engaging with team members and learning how the quality of raw materials used within manufacturing is ensured.  Once trained, you will learn how to do performance checks of equipment such as balances and pH meters; you will help perform these checks daily as needed. You will also be trained on basic identification and compendial testing.Role Description:Train on basic laboratory techniques and procedures as assignedTrain on identification testing as well as compendial testing for materialsLearn how to use myCims, LIMS, and Oracle enterprise systemsComplete assigned trainings and tasksParticipate in team meetingsExample projects may include:Support QC with the reduced testing initiative to reduce frequency of testing every raw material/component with procedural updates, spec revisions, etc.  Support Retain Improvements including Retain Cage organizationLearn basic identification techniques and compendial testing.
