Job Description
This position is responsible for providing support for Lab Systems located within Biogen’s RTP Campus focusing or various labs that support commercial and pre/post commercial activities. This position will be a part of a larger virtual team and supported by a team of resources for day-to-day issues. The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring that the lab systems, partnering closely with the lab validation team and operations team, are maintained and have a documented life lifecycle plan to ensure business continuity along with maintainability is achieved. Additionally, this position will be asked to provide oversight of other field-based devices such as label printers, handheld barcode scanners, and other such industrialized devices.
What You’ll Do- Ensure that lab systems are receiving the proper support to maintain business operations within the commercial and pre/post commercial labs.
- Provide escalations points for lab technicians along with the validation and lab operations team
- Partner with validation and lab operations for upgrades, replacements of systems, and other activities that have impact to operations within the lab space.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping people and supporting mission critical systems. They will have an understanding of the impact of these systems being inoperable and possess the understanding on how to return them back into service in a compliant fashion often using others to execute as they provide oversight.
Qualifications
- Ability to comprehend and follow procedures
- Demonstrated experience working within a GxP regulated industry / environment
- Knowledge of desktop/server operating systems and TCP/IP networks
- Experience supporting lab systems
- Demonstrated ability to managed stakeholder expectations
- Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Empower, OpenLab, and or Nugensis
