Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an
Operations Admin for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Data Services clients in Raleigh, NC. Responsibilities :- Responsible for hardware implementation, OS implementation, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting in support of the company's ESIS supported labs.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand and address customer need, develop implementation plans, and execute on those plans.
- Responsible for a wide range of functions and expertise.
- Help to ensure that team objectives, ticket SLAs, and project deadlines are met.
- Plan, design, implement, and lead hardware & software installation projects.
- Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and debug hardware & software.
- Plan, conduct and direct the analysis of business problems to be solved.
- May work with technical teams, to understand functional business needs and jointly develop solutions.
- Problem diagnosis and resolution.
- Ensure client satisfaction and client management.
- Reporting to customers and management on status, resources needs, and projected outcomes.
- Interacts with development engineers, quality assurance engineers, direct manager, and the technical team on assigned projects, and may communicate with employees in other functions as required.
- Regular and detailed direction is provided, as well as on-going review of activities and priorities.
- Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Sciences, or related technical field is required; or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience is required.
- Unix, Linux, Windows (Required)
- Should be proficient with CLI for linux and unix (Required)
- Installation and troubleshooting (Required)
- RAID (Required)
- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other Information Systems Engineering team members to support deadlines; ability to work independently as well.
- Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to utilize them in a development environment.
- Ability to follow standard engineering principles and practices.
- Creative approach to problem solving.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently with competing deadlines.
- 3 to 5 years of experience is preferred
- Open Stack Scripting: (Preferred) Perl, Python, Expect, Bash Microsoft Office Outlook Excel PowerPoint Word
