Position Summary:

The Manager of Agile Transformation reports to the Director of IT Delivery Methods and Standards within the Office of the CIO. This role is responsible for leading the agile transformation, driving adoption through establishing value streams and agile release trains, and enabling increasing maturity by providing training and coaching across the IT organization.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Agile Transformation Roadmap

Lead planning and execution of the Agile Transformation Roadmap.

• Product Owner for the Agile Transformation backlog, collaborating with IT leadership and teams to drive prioritization.

• Lead development and execution of the Agile Transformation Roadmap.

• Provide leadership with visibility into progress and impediments with the Agile Transformation roadmap.

2. Value Streams, Agile Release Trains, Adoption

Design value streams, establish Agile Release Trains and drive adoption across the IT organization.

• Facilitate Value Stream identification workshops to drive the design of the organizational value stream and product structure.

• Partner with IT leaders to identify, prioritize, and launch Agile Release Trains (ARTs) across value streams.

• Establish metrics and communicate the health and progress of adoption and maturity across the IT organization.

3. Agile Training and Coaching

Establish and source a training and coaching model to enable adoption and support increasing the organization's maturity.

• Develop the agile Coaching model and playbook that defines the standards and guidelines to be utilized across the organization, including the approach for team, program, and leadership coaching.

• Manage the coaching request intake, prioritization, and assignment process.

• Plan for coaching needs across IT, and develop partnerships and plans with providers to align with demand.

• On-board, train, and support coaches on the RBS coaching model.

• Drive quality and consistency of coaching by establishing metrics and feedback loops through coaching assessments to providing leadership and partners with visibility into results.

• Establish and source a training curriculum that is delivered through multiple channels (i.e. in person, online, etc.) and supports the adoption and increasing maturity of teams, specific roles, programs, and leadership.

4. Leadership and Development

Provides inspirational leadership to promote high performance and conquer obstacles.

• Embody and role model a culture of servant leadership.

• Foster teamwork at all levels through influence over authority.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree

• Master's degree preferred or equivalent work experience in business, technology, or related field.

• SAFe program consultant (SPC) preferred.

• 12 -15 years of experience effectively leading large, complex programs with significant change impact, multiple dependencies within and across organizational boundaries

Skills and Abilities:

• Proven ability to develop relationships that and influence at the executive level.

• Experience operating in both waterfall and agile frameworks, including SAFe certification. • Strong understanding of project implementations, project structure, and life-cycle, and best practice standards and tools. • Excellent planning and organizational skills • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
