Position Title: Analyst V Systems - Postgres DBAPosition Location: Chicago, IL or Salisbury, NC or Quincy, MA or Greenville, SCPosition Summary:DBA who is capable of supporting HA (high available) Postgres environments. Familiar with Citus used as our high availability solution for Postgres. Familiar with migrations from on-premise Postgres HA clusters to Microsoft Azure cloud services. Individual should understand the ins and outs of database physical and logical replications, clustering, mirroring, and high availability. We also expect the DBA to be able to troubleshoot urgent production issues quickly and effectively. The DBA will focus on Postgres optimization, efficiency, durability, and 24/7 availability. The DBA should have experience with Microsoft Azure and running Postgres in the cloudPrinciple Duties and Responsibilities:Leads partners in IT, business areas and vendors in understanding, and enhancing business requirements to create technical, and functional specifications. Provide subject matter expertise in the analysis, design, and preparation of technology solutions to meet business needsLeads the design, build, validation, implementation, and maintenance of IT application systems and/or infrastructure solutions in support of our current, and future business needs.Interfaces with IT PMO, architecture, and service delivery teams among others in support of delivering timely, robust, and scalable solutions.Interfaces with and guides network, hosting, and End User Technology engineers and/or vendor partners in providing clarifications on design patterns, as needed.Performs solution verification to ensure the solution is built in accordance with the specifications meeting business and technical requirements.Responsible for technology lifecycle portfolio management from conceptualization until retirement in one or more areas.Provides support and/or interfaces with support teams, internal or external, to ensure business and technical issues with applications and/or infrastructure are resolved timely and effectively. Requirements Education and Experience• Bachelor's degree • Minimum 6 years of experience as Postgres database administrator• Hands-on experience with Postgres required• Experience with Citus High Availability a must have.• Experience with Informix is highly desirable.• Experience with Microsoft Azure Postgres/Citus is highly desirable.#dicejobVacancy expired!
