Position:Network Engineer Job Ref#:23986ADuration:12+ Months (Contract)Location:Swepsonville, NC 27359 (Hybrid)Rate:Open/Market Rate (W2)

This role is 4 days onsite and 1 day remote

Project Responsibilities: 90% of this environment is Cisco switches, will provide basic troubleshooting of equipment- Planning, executing, and implementing large, complex Infrastructure projects by working closely with the business team members to accomplish the goals of the business and IT department.- Manage network assets at location- Check system KPI to ensure network environment is functioning as required- Update/patch network operating systems and firmware to ensure no vulnerabilities or bugs- Participate in regional discussions for renewal of assets- Systematically manage information relating to the documentation, software, hardware and firmware network assets.- Control and manage network services and their availability to ensure that all services meet all of their agreed availability targets.- Manage the capability and functionality of hardware, software and network components to meet current and predicted needs in a cost-effective manner. - Deal with both long-term changes and short-term variations in the level of demand.- Manage all changes to the components of a live infrastructure, from requests for change (RFC) through to implementation and review, to support the continued availability, effectiveness and safety of the infrastructure.- Resolve incidents and problems in your technology life-cycle, including classification, prioritization and initiation of action, documentation of root causes and implementation of remedies. - Report on problem and countermeasure status as requested.- Day-to-day support, operation and control of all equipment within the IT network infrastructure, including configuration backup and restore, production of network performance statistics, provision of network diagnostic information and site surveys.- Responsibilities include assisting with strategic plans and roadmaps for future Infrastructure initiatives; tracking project milestones and deliverables; identifying and mitigating issues; resolving conflicts with the project; and developing/presenting proposals, reports and project plans to management

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: This role is 60% onsite, Hybrid role (4 days onsite/1 day remote) Supporting a Mfg environments, PPE is required (Boots, Goggles are required) Hours 7:30-4pm (MON-FRI (EST) and work 8 hours over-time per month 3-5+ years Network Engineer installing, configuring and maintaining network routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, remote access VPN, site-to-site, network/application load balancing, DHCP, and DNS Good knowledge of OSI Models, at least 1-3 layers network protocols is needed for troubleshooting Strong exp with troubleshooting (analyze situation and ascertain the areas they are being impacted by) Must be able to go up/down ladders, up to 20ft On-call for non production issues will be required Experience setting up and configuring Cisco routers and switches. Worked with data center technologies with CISCO edge, distribution, core switches and wireless access points and controllers. Troubleshooting experience with hardware, Cisco iOS software, wired, wireless, fiber-optic, and copper cabling. Strong background in Layer 2, Layer 3 and Layer 4 technologies and the ability to work as a team to maintain infrastructure stability Proficient PC Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other technical software) Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills Education: Degree in Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Desired, nice to haves: CCNA, CCNP or JNCIP Certified Worked in a large data center Experience with public key infrastructure RADIUS and TACACS Worked with Juniper Ethernet Switches Experience using testing tools, such as Fluke, Optview, Wireshark, Air-magnet, Ekahau, Spectrum Analyzer. Experience with monitoring tools such as Orion, Nagios, and/or Cisco Prime
