As a Master Big Data Architect, you will be part of a team responsible for the overall architecture of the nCino data platform, policies, and procedures. You will oversee the design of product features and perform extensive research and development on new technologies, frameworks and methodologies. Working with architects, product managers and development teams, your experience and contributions will help to guide the technical direction of nCino.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing an overall organizational data strategy that is in line with business processes. The strategy includes data model designs, database development standards, implementation and management of data warehouses and data analytics systems.
  • Identifying data sources, both internal and external, and working out a plan for data management that is aligned with organizational data strategy.
  • Managing end-to-end data architecture, from selecting the platform, designing the technical architecture, and developing the application to finally testing and implementing the proposed solution.
  • Planning and execution of big data solutions using technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dbt, Lakeformation, Athena
  • Defining and managing the flow of data and dissemination of information within the organization.
  • Big Data and Cloud Architecture
  • Design big data batch processing and interactive solutions
  • Design big data real-time processing solutions
  • Operationalize end-to-end cloud analytics solutions

Qualifications

Required:
  • Experience of designing, optimizing and troubleshooting cloud data platforms associated with large, complex application stacks
  • Effective at both collaboration and negotiation with internal stakeholders.
  • Capable of managing and prioritize multiple projects with competing resource requirements and timelines
  • Extensive experience working in the AWS cloud environment
  • AWS Solution Architect certification (associate or professional) along with hands on experience of designing and managing AWS cloud data solutions. Data Analytics Professional Certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK)
  • Experience in developing state-of-the-art cloud data solutions for scalability, reliability, security, and performance
  • Proficiency in data modeling and design, including SQL development and database administration
  • Understanding of predictive modeling, NLP and text analysis, Machine Learning
  • Ability to implement common data management and reporting technologies, as well as the basics of columnar and NoSQL databases, data visualization, unstructured data, and predictive analytics.
  • Data mining, visualization, and Machine Learning skills
  • Experience designing and developing data cleansing routines utilizing typical data quality functions involving standardization, transformation, rationalization, linking and matching
  • Knowledge of data, master data, and metadata related standards, processes and technology
  • Experience working with multi-Terabyte data sets
  • Significant experience with large scale data pipelines and data lakes (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, presto, and similar)
  • Experience with data lake implementations, core modernization, and data ingestion

Desired :
  • Experience in Fintech or related business domains.
  • Experience in leading engineering teams and mentoring junior engineers is strongly recommended
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM and TDD development methodologies
