Branded Cards acquires 4 MM new accounts every year and has $90B in receivables across market leading Proprietary Products (Double Cash, Simplicity, ThankYou, Diamond Preferred, etc.) and Co-Brands (American Airlines, Costco, AT&T, etc.). The team is looking for a high-energy individual who is looking to make a contributions at-scale. Familiarity with machine learning, big data and similar advanced analytical tools is preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibility covers managing portfolio risk policy, focusing on growing and maintaining healthy portfolios through line and various accounts maintenance programs such as limit increase/ decrease, accounts renewals/ closure, cross-selling between products

Identify policy improvement opportunities and take ownership of policy analytics from conception to execution, including business impact tracking

Develop credit tests and risk strategies, balancing risk-return trade-off

Work together with counterparts from Business, Sales, Credit Operations, Decision Management, Operations & Technology to ensure correct policy implementation at an operational level

Provide analytics at portfolio and segment levels for the purpose of monitoring, making policy adjustments, provide sound credit decisions with the ultimate goal of optimizing risk and rewards

Work together with the Risk MIS team, in charge of Credit Risk Reporting and Portfolio Quality Review Reporting, as well as facilitating ad-hoc reporting as needed

Analyze and validate internal, credit bureau and other external data sources for accuracy and their effectiveness in the program

Manage appropriate controls for the program, including internal and external audits and policy governance tasks

Effectively collaborate with business partners in Marketing, Execution, Finance, Data Management, Compliance and Legal to ensure flawless and timely execution and management of policies

Candidate Qualifications4-8 years of experience in credit risk management or equivalent training and experience preferably in the financial services industry

Bachelor’s Degree required in statistics, mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline

Master’s Degree or Ph. D’s degree preferred in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering or a similar quantitative discipline

Experience with analytical or data management tools (e.g. SAS, SQL, R)

Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, ability to derive patterns, trends and insights, and perform risk/reward trade-off analysis

Good written and verbal communication skills with ability to connect analytics to business impacts

Proven ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment

Ability to build effective presentations to communicate analytical findings to a wide array of audiences
