Perform final inspection of parts, labeling/boxing, and general preparation for shipment in the Pack Table area of Electronics.

Assist the team lead with training department delegated inspectors to perform proper and effective final inspections for completed parts.

Check parts for cracks, loose connections, faulty bonds, faulty assembly and complete/proper documentation.

Document and record all turnbacks, as required, and communicate findings to the applicable team leads and/or supervisors.

Assists in determining root cause and corrective action activities for process and product improvements.

Inspects electronic assemblies for conformance to prescribed Workmanship Standards, and rejects nonconforming products and accepts conforming products.

May operate optical inspection machine.

Responsible for quality product standards with no defects.

Responsible to comply with applicable elements of quality systems.

Participate in cost reduction plans and continuous improvement plans/events, as required.

Participate in audits.

Report to team lead or supervisor on work progress and updates including conditions surrounding failures to meet quality standards.

Responsible for building parts that meet customer deadlines and expectations.

Acquire applicable skill/knowledge/certifications as required.

Record test results in testing log.

Route products for rework or salvage of usable parts.

Route reworked assemblies for testing.

Clean completed assemblies.

Read and assemble parts according to blueprint specifications.

Conduct fundamental testing to test equipment setting controls, observing readings and actions of instrument checking for malfunctions.

Test parts by connecting to test equipment setting controls, observing readings and actions of instrument checking for malfunctions.

Learn to assemble small electronic components to printed circuit boards.

Once properly trained and/or certified- perform specific tasks including, but not limited to, laser welding, soldering, item test and inspection, filler, immersion testing

Maintain materials, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly condition.

Comply with all rules and regulations of Collins Aerospace, including, but not limited to: Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics, International Trade Compliance and Human Resources.

Complete assigned tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individual skills.
