Performs clerical tasks in order to increase the efficiency of HR department and leaders. Monitors HR department systems and offices for day-to-day operational issues. Maintains proper documentation to ensure compliance and prepare for audit. Assists with additional operational tasks to support department as needed.Primary Responsibilities:Works under direct supervision to provide assistance to the Employee & Labor Relations functionResponds to email and phone inquiries regarding HR policiesMaintains personnel records in relevant HR systems and physical filesMaintains employee benefits records by submitting appropriate forms and information to 3rd party administrator to ensure accurate billing data and employees benefit selection/coverageManages the tactical processing of contractual requirements such as automatic increases, yearly wage increases, etc.Manages the tactical processing and tracking of FMLA/STD/Leaves of Absences for bargaining unit employeesGenerates reports on personnel and benefits related data to provide to management and other 3rd parties as appropriateLiaises with tactical HR teams to troubleshoot employee requests and concerns pertaining to PTO, sick time, benefits, etc., in compliance with the Collective Bargaining AgreementCommunicates employee change of status to Union leadershipPrepares communication requested by management for distribution to supervisory teams and bargained employeesAssist in Payroll EscalationsCoordinates interviews for investigationsUpdates employee records in HRIS system (Workday) as appropriateSupport onboarding local process of bargaining unit employeesAssists with other tasks as requiredBasic Qualifications:HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
