Job Summary/Company:

A Sparks Group Partner is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join their team. This is a Direct Hire, hybrid position (3 days/week in office); site locations are Dallas, TX, New York, NY, and Winston-Salem, NC Selected candidate must be fully vaccinated. Responsibilities:

Design/development of high quality software based on the company's Linux/java application platforms and supporting tools
Design new systems from the ground up, leverage existing systems' knowledge to create new platform solutions
Migrate existing legacy systems functionality to new Java EE/Linux (and AWS Cloud) platforms
Operate within disciplined software development processes and best practices to ensure quality and adherence to industry standards

Qualifications/Background Profile:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience
5 -7 years related software development experience, including experience as a technical lead
Experience implementing and designing large-scale systems based on Java technology
Knowledge of the following languages: Java EE, Java SE, XML, HTML/5, CSS, JavaScript frameworks, JSON, SQL, UML
Database management knowledge: SQL, NoSQL
Technology/Platform knowledge: GIT, AWS
Experience with Linux or Unix scripting
