MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Requires a

Bachelor’s degree in a computer science field and

three years of current and professional experience or an

Associate degree in a computer related field and

five years of current and progressive related work experience as described below. Additional professional work experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year for year basis. Work experience must include end user support and customer relations to a large customer base and/or acting in a technical role which includes support, implementing or managing a large enterprise end user environment. This position requires a team focused individual that projects a positive attitude and enthusiasm for change while trying to bring together multiple diverse groups of people for a common goal of the state's unifying efforts and process efficiencies.

SUMMARY OF WORK: Work involves providing direct supervision, leadership, and guidance to a highly technical team within the Technology section overseeing teams that provide end use compute services and collaboration technologies. This role will support the strategic direction and ensures the quality of the day-to-day operations of the teams to meet the needs of users, evaluates the use of end user technology to determine priorities, allocate resources, and establish project schedules to ensure their timely completion.This is a high growth and fast paced environment, and both domains are instrumental in driving operational excellence, improving end user experience, and increasing user adoption for new IT products.This key role supervises all end user Windows/Office technologies, mobile device management, peripherals, and device lifecycle management with responsibilities for effective delivery and operational support for PC imaging, packaging, software distribution, patching and PC lifecycle management. Must possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate individuals and create a strong team environment.

Duties and Tasks:
  • Oversee a full-service end user compute environment across the enterprise that includes all type of end user devices and software.
  • Oversee the deployment and full end to end management of the office 365 tenant and other supporting collaboration technologies
  • Oversee and manage a highly mature and highly automated process environment relating to how the technologies are managed and deployed.
  • Partner with other teams to ensure services are delivered in an efficient and effective manner
  • Develop and complete reports on status of projects and other requests; report incidents upward to customers, and NDIT management team.
  • Monitors and reports overall operational performance for the End User and Collaboration teams’ projects / programs on a regular basis to ensure quality, efficiency, and accuracy
  • Investigates and resolves escalated complex problems and coordinates efforts to provide innovative strategies and solutions
  • Ability to see, account for, and coach others in the “big picture” as well as the details and be able to tie initiatives to NDIT goals
  • Develop and maintain staffing plan to support the current and future work demands and project deliverables
  • Initiates and implements new technologies, methodologies, process, and procedures to support long and short-term goals
  • Establishes and nurtures positive relationships with other departments
  • Demonstrates the ability to adapt to and lead, change, and coach others in the acceptance and support of change
  • Ensures that expenditures are within the financial guidelines established in the capital and operating budgets
