Job Description

CapTech is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator with experience leading the day-to-day administration of essential and non-essential internal-facing systems and software. This person will serve as a technical lead and will manage a team of multi-functional Systems Administrators that support a diverse group of stakeholders. Remaining a top IT consulting firm requires highly reliable systems to support both our consultants and our internal staff. Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Day-to-day architecting, monitoring, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of Windows Server, VMware, Storage, Network, Cloud and Disaster Recovery environments
  • Work with internal support teams on escalated tickets
  • Create, review, and execute change requests for production changes
  • Work with InfoSec team members to ensure internal systems are secure and compliant
  • Advise other departments on implementing and/or integrating new software or services
  • Assist other Systems Administrator team members with technical expertise and troubleshooting
  • Mentor and train junior-level IT personnel
  • Perform after hours maintenance
  • Perform audits as required by policy or compliance
  • Document policy and procedures and manage inventory

Qualifications

Required:

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of Windows Server administration, including ADDS, ADSS, DHCP, DNS, IIS, DA
  • 5+ years of VMware vSphere administration in a clustered environment
  • 3+ years of SAN/NAS administration
  • 3+ years Office 365 administration
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including wired and wireless networking
  • Strong PowerShell scripting ability
  • Expert-level troubleshooting ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator
  • Willingness to travel as needed (<10%)

Preferred

· Experience configuring and/or troubleshooting Cisco routers, switches, WiFi

· Familiarity with MS SQL Server administration

· Familiarity with Linux administration

· Experience configuring and maintaining Azure, AWS, or both

· Experience working in a DevOps environment

· Understanding of ITIL concepts

· Understanding of sprint-based methodologies

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

· This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.

· COVID vaccination is required due to in-office presence needed from time to time
