Job Description

The direct leadership of shift supervisors, traffic office personnel. logistics quality and trainer positions.

Supervises staff, responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and developing subordinate staff

Working with warehouse staff to improve individual and group performance.

Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve goals.

Coordinate manpower requirements by increasing or decreasing personnel and overtime to meet changing conditions.

Drives Performance Improvement though active management and use is CIP tools.

Drives Productivity improvement measures with teams.

Responsible for root cause analysis and implementation of corrective measures to address and minimize reoccurring challenges.

Responsible to develop, maintain, and implement local operating procedures and work instructions.

Builds collaborative working relationships across groups

Responsible for overall metrics of Quality, Cost and Delivery

Ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the warehouse.

Ensure that all reports regarding warehouse activity are prepared on a timely basis and effectively maintained.

Responsible for annual labor planning to achieve work efficiency targets

Reports machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel.

Management of POs to external suppliers of indirect materials (i.e. packaging materials, skids, etc.)

Manage spending of departmental budget

Qualifications

5+ year’s logistics and warehousing supervision or management

AS or BS Degree in Supply Chain Management or Technical field a plus

Strong ability to develop, coach, train, and mentor staff to success

A working knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts

Effective interpersonal skills

SAP WM experience; MS Office proficiency

Communicate effectively both written and orally

Demonstrated leadership ability to include driving KPIs, employee engagement / team building

Must demonstrate a high level of teamwork, customer focus, and initiative

Must have a high sense of urgency, attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
