Job Description
Your functionAs Purchasing Engineer you will be responsible to manage all related purchasing activities within a cross-functional development team of new products.You will have the responsibility of coordinating all purchasing activities during product development process and to ensure cost, quality and delivery targets are met. You will be the first point of contact for any issues or discrepancies arising during product development process. You strive to maintain the progress, mutual interaction and tasks in such a way that the risk of overall failure is reduced, benefits are maximized and costs minimized.As a strategic partner within the Development process of new products, Purchasing Engineer ensures an On-Time SOP at Target cost by offering excellent project management.You will work inside the Purchasing Engineering Department and in close co-operation with Project Management and R&D. You will report directly to the local Purchasing Engineering Manager.
Your contribution Active cooperation and coordination with R&D, Project management and purchasing teams in a highly technical environment; Relationship and change management towards (key) suppliers and R&D; Safeguard that all activities are following our internal guidelines; Responsible for monitoring and ensuring targets are met (Quality, Cost and delivery) of purchased components; Project management of purchasing related activities and reporting; Acts on operational and tactical level; Responsible for supplier selection and business award for new products in line with Bosch supplier strategy.Qualifications
Must have's At least 3-5 years experience in a multicultural, corporate, cross dynamic / matrix organization; Background in (a combination of) Engineering + Purchasing Bachelor or Master in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering; Knowledge of purchasing technical components (mechanical parts, electronics, electro mechanics), systems and manufacturing processes; Passion for purchasing and technology; Ability to motivate others and increase team spirit; Strong personality, able to work under pressure; Very good communication skills, initiative and willingness to take responsibility; Working applied knowledge of MS Office applications and some ERP systems (SAP preferred); Fluent in English.Additional Information
