Join Minnesota Reading Corps or Minnesota Math Corps!
Today in Minnesota, 1 in 3 third graders struggles to read and nearly half of our eighth graders struggle in math. Join Minnesota Reading Corps or Minnesota Math Corps and you'll change more than statistics -- you'll change lives!
Whether you want to work with the littlest learns (PreK) or help older students succeed, we've got great options to make a difference. Tutors build personal, supportive relationships with each child to empower their learning, build their confidence, and get on track to reading and math success.
Interested in serving 3- to 5-year-olds?
Reading Corps tutors work with children in small groups and one-on-one to build early literacy skills. They team with the classroom teacher to support learning and, through conversation and play, help children develop social-emotional skills and get ready for Kindergarten.
Interested in serving elementary-age children?
In elementary schools, Reading Corps tutors work one-on-one with children in Kindergarten through 3rd grade who need extra practice in reading. You can support eager learners with proven strategies and watch their confidence grow!
Interested in serving 4th through 8th graders?
In elementary, middle, or junior high schools, Math Corps tutors work with pairs of students in grades 4-8 who need extra practice in math. Following a set of practiced and proven interventions, you'll help students gain valuable skills they'll use throughout their lives!
