Mahube-Otwa Community Action Partnership, Inc. has an opening for Head Start Family Service Worker - Otter Tail County. This is a full-time, seasonal (reduced hours in the summer), 40 hour/week, benefited position.
TITLE: Head Start Family Service Worker - Otter Tail County
DUTY STATION: Fergus Falls, MN Mahube-Otwa Office
QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED: Four years of college with a BA or BS Degree in Human Services or Health related field. Experience working with clients in human service or health programs. MN Driver's License. Basic computer skills. PREFERRED: A credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling or related field. Experience working with low income families.
BASIC FUNCTION: This position is responsible for making home visits with Head Start families for the purpose of working on family self-sufficiency and offering families the opportunity to reach their highest level of self-sufficiency by identifying strengths and barriers, formulating a plan of action, and making appropriate agency referrals. The person in this position adheres to the Agency Standards of Conduct and Agency Values of client focused, community minded and resourcefulness. Must have the ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality of client information and work materials.
