Job Description
As a maintenance technician, the main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating equipment as required to support manufacturing.
- Performing PMs/calibrations on assigned equipment ensuring the tasks are performed in a safe, correct, and timely manner.
- Researching and sourcing parts, as needed, proving POS and part details to central stores.
- Read and interpret specifications, diagrams, manuals, and other documentation.
- Safely operate all shop tools and follow all company-required safety policies.
- Attend and participate fully in training and safety sessions as assigned.
- Comply with all regulatory, company, ISO, and departmental policies, SOPS, work instructions, and records.
- Provide machine set-up, changeover, and part replacements as needed to support manufacturing.
- Effectively present information with vendors and co-workers.
- Read and comprehend complex instructions, equipment/instrumentation, assembly, mechanical, electrical, and P&ID drawings.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechatronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Systems Technology, or similar programs. Fiver years or more experience in an equivalent position can be substituted.
- Must be able to work well in a team setting.
- Ability to correspond and communicate via electronic systems.
- Must be able to apply basic to intermediate math concepts.
- Systemic troubleshooting methods to solve complex manufacturing problems.
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Regularly work in a contamination control environment using the required PPE.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, crawl, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, hear, and lift/move/transport objects up to 40 lbs.
- Visual ability to see 20 inches to 20 feet with or without corrective lenses.
- Must be able to distinguish wiring colors.
