Job Description
As a member of the Quality/CI department, you will be responsible for using and updating the Masterbrand Production System (MPS). Be a resource to the Leadership Team by facilitating meetings, kaizen events, metrics and assisting in the root cause problem solving processes within the facility. Leverage statistics and other data analysis methods to facilitate operational improvements in the plant. Aid in Quality activities, when needed, and work with employees and supervisors to improve their processes. This person will also be required to update documents, input data, complete audits, and anything else that is necessary to plant operations.
Reports to CI Engineer
Duties and Responsibilities:- Document Control
- Document Updating
- Layered Process Audits
- 5s Audits, training, implementation
- Be a change agent and help lead continuous improvement activities
- Create and manage action plans that advance process improvements
- Continually challenge individuals and teams to improve through the systematic application of continuous improvement methodologies
- Simplify the data collection process and automate when possible
- Assist with data analysis and problem solving
- Train employees on analysis tools and techniques
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Some experience in LEAN/5S or Continuous Improvement activities
- Background in problem solving with familiarity in several types of programming, including by not limited to SQL query, C, C. Python, or VBA
