Job Description
The Digital Strategy and Operations Manager – Restaurants will grow Eataly North America’s restaurant delivery business by developing sales strategies and designing revenue-producing menu options. The Manager will partner closely with internal stakeholders and third parties to drive strategy implementation. Reports to the Director of Digital Sales.
- Leads the development and implementation of Eataly’s digital strategy to grow our restaurant delivery program
- Partners with the Director of Digital Sales, Director of Restaurants and Director of Culinary to develop menus that maximize revenue and margin as well as align with brand standards
- Collaborates with in-store Restaurant Managers to oversee the creation and maintenance of online menus
- Works with representatives from 3rd-party online food delivery platforms to develop and implement tactics to improve our online presence and grow our online revenue
- Creates, maintains and updates in-store activity guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (i.e: receiving, logging and expediting orders; packaging and branding initiatives, etc)
- Monitors KPIs to measure and improve in-store procedures to maximize digital conversion
- Drives growth through launching new coverage areas
- Spots market opportunities for new customers
- Troubleshoots and problem solves daily operational issues
- Creates weekly and monthly reports to track sales goals; keeps company leadership apprised of progress
- Understands and assesses the competitive landscape and institutes changes to the sales program in response to competitor and 3rd-party platform changes
- Implements process training to educate all parties involved in the digital restaurant delivery program as it grows on a national level
- Motivates, educates and involves all team members (digital sales and in-store) to make proactive decisions related to all aspects of digital restaurant orders
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications
- Analytical problem-solving skills and data-driven mindset
- Ability to work autonomously and efficiently in an ever-changing, dynamic operational environment
- High attention to detail
- Positive attitude and effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organization, planning and prioritization skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel and Powerpoint
- 3+ years of relevant, restaurant delivery experience preferred
- Experience working for or with online food delivery platforms preferred
- Availability to spend approximately 20% of time in the field (at retail locations) and 80% in the Corporate office
