Job Description

As the VP of Operations, you will haveprimary responsibility for executing the manufacturing strategy, policies and procedures for multiple sites within the Strategic Business Unit (SBU). Responsible for the leadership of production activities in a lean manufacturing environment to optimize resource use, minimize costs and maintain quality standards to meet P&L targets.

Key Accountabilities

· Lead sites to plan, manage and review production operations to achieve output and quality objectives; formulate manufacturing policies and procedures; forecast manpower and facilities requirements; maintain inventory controls; develop production time and quality standards, and develop and implement production schedules to ensure the effective use of labor, tools, plant and equipment

· Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain leadership to develop and execute strategies around manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, production planning & control, sourcing, material planning and logistics

· Drive strong partnership with Product & CS leadership to deliver customer satisfaction through strict adherence to product specifications, open communication and timely follow-up

· Identify and implement new technology, equipment, systems, and/or process improvements that enhance MBCI’s manufacturing platform; drive maximize return on investment

· Champion a high commitment and performance culture by actively supporting the MasterBrand Way; the 4 Basics, Continuous Improvement & Associate Engagement

· Champion MBCI’s Zero Injury Mission through demonstrated commitment to the Always Aware program, site specific safety plans and targeted MBCI initiatives

· Establish and implement strategies that have mid to long-term (3 -5 years) impact on SBU results in alignment with parent/independent organization objectives

· Develop and manage the operation’s operating budget; ensure achievement of financial objectives

· Strategically train the next level of operations leadership for succession planning within the SBU

· Embraces the team through strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to people at all levels of the organization, including diverse viewpoints.

· Demonstrates effective communication (written and verbal); clearly, concisely and with context communicates objectives and expectations within the organization, articulating articulate a vision and driving results

· Focuses on moving forward through strong organizational and execution skills. Able to champion core issues, develop resourceful and creative solutions and drive results. Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills are a must. Ability to drive successful execution of strategic plans.

Required Knowledge Skills and Experience

· BS in Engineering, Business or a related required; advanced degree or professional manufacturing certification(s) preferred

· Proven track record of leading teams in a $250MM+ globally sourced, manufacturing organization, preferably in consumer goods or a make-to-order environment.

· Strong track record for transforming organizations – building the team, managing change, streamlining processes and driving safety, quality, delivery and cost improvement.
