Job: AutoCAD Drafter (telecom) Location: Akron, OH (onsite) Contract to hire Requirements: • 2+ years of telecommunications experience ( MPLS OR fiber networks) • Proficient in AutoCAD (experience with MicroStation is a plus but not required) Responsible for adhering to the drafting practices of selected discipline • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong problem solving and analytical skills • Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook • Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field Job Duties: • Assist with preparing new drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts. • Contributing to the design of MPLS communication networks within the electric utility industry • Responsible for adhering to company and client drafting standards and procedures. • Responsible for adhering to the drafting practices of selected discipline. • Assist in drafting design and documentation for various projects. • Help with tasks utilizing standard drafting detail programs. • Ad hoc projects as assigned by managers. • Plus all other duties as assigned. Nice to Have Experience: • Strong problem solving and analytical skills • GIS systems • MicroStation • Inventor • Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook • Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field
