- Note Candidates will need to be local to either Akron, OH, Greensburg or Reading, PA.
- Will be remote to start but will need to be local to work onsite once we return to the office.
- Systems Administrator members of the ADMS System team apply software, hardware, networking, and/or engineering principles to support Client's Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) environment.
- The work focuses on maintaining a system architecture that meets the enduser requirements, while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage Oracle Network Management System (NMS) software on Client's standard infrastructure and network platforms.
- Manage Oracle NMS software, including software configuration and scripting; maintaining integration and interfaces between systems.
- Manage the testing and deployment of patches and software upgrades.
- Assisting with various home grown applications to support the overall Distribution Systems portfolio such as web apps used for outage management.
- Perform system security administration tasks.
- Develop data queries and reporting solutions to meet business and regulatory requirements.
- Solve complex problems and troubleshoot functionality for issue identification (including debugging); work in conjunction with other IT personnel.
- Understand the structure and design of the application's database.
- Be an active participant in a collaborative work environment gathering requirements from business stakeholders for new development projects.
- Develop technical designs and estimates to meet the business needs while supporting the company's overall IT direction and standards.
- Create and maintain system documentation and procedures to ensure and standards.
- Creating and execute comprehensive unit, system, and integration test plans.
- This is a hybrid role between a Systems Administrator and also a Developer, not just strictly a Developer role.
- Hiring Manager is open to someone who has a solid technical background (i.e. an undergrad in Computer Science), even if less seasoned, open to candidates that have a technical aptitude.
- This position will be assisting Client's Technical Group that supports the most mission critical application that Client has.
- Will be responsible for helping with various miscellaneous projects/tasks within in the group.
- Open to candidates that do not check all of the boxes, but have potential.
- Prior experience involving .NET development, Linux, Oracle Database, and/or Python.
- Candidates should also be aware that if converted to an FTE, will be required to be on call 24X7X365 for the ADMS application suite.
- Java development, .NET development, etc.
- Oracle Database Skills – like writing SQL, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, Packages, etc.
- Not really a DBA here but someone with just oracle database experience.
