$3,028 / Week Maxim Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Progressive Care Unit RN, as a professional practitioner, to assume the responsibility and accountability fordelivering patient care to telemetry/progressive care patients. The nurse demonstratestheability tomake clinical judgmentsin an effective andefficient manner with supervision. Thisindividual employs critical thinking andperformance ability in the coordinator of patient care, consistentlyperforms according to nursing standards, andis accountable in managing patient care andassisting others in themanagement of patient care.Total WeeklyPay - $3,028Total WeeklyTaxable - $1,908Total WeeklyAllowance - $1,120Hours - 36Local - $75/hrShift – Day Shift (7a-7:30p) and Night Shift (7p-7:30a)Notes – 13 Week contract - Every other weekend andholiday requirement. Unit is 30 beds with COVID and non-COVID patients. Extremelypositive work culture for all contracted nurses.Responsibilities: Utilizes the nursing process toassess, plan, implementand evaluate patientcare on a progressive care unit

Performs focused interviewto identify specific patientsneeds

Assesses signs and symptomsindicating physiologic and psycho/social changesinthe patient’s condition

Collects, analyzes, andinterprets data and informationfrom health caremembers and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses

Documents the patient’s plan of care usingidentified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes,andselected nursing interventions

Identifies andprioritizes actions based upon patient care requirements

Monitors consistency between patientplan of care andactions of medical staff

Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plan ofcare, and the hospital policies and patientcare outcome standard

Provides a safe, comfortable andtherapeutic patient environment

Initiates and evaluatespatient and/or family education

Revises the plan of care according to evaluation, changes in medicalplan of care, effective/ineffective nursinginterventions

Documents patient’s response to nursingand other interventions

Usesclinical judgment inevaluation activities to meet patient care needs of an assigned unit/floorincluding establishing priorities

Monitors safety and effectiveness of theenvironment and equipment

Supports professional practiceby observing the following: Usesknowledge and practicesinaccordance with1) theNurse Practice Act; 2)Standards of NursingPractice; 3) Standardsof Patient Care;4) Joint Commission, state andlocal laws; 5) Patient’sBill of Rights; and 6) Maxim Healthcare Staffing, nursingand client hospital policies

Performs other dutiesas assigned/necessary

Minimum Requirements:Current Registered NurseLicense for the state in which the nurse practices

One year prior professional nursingexperience preferred with one year progressive care unit experience preferred

Current Health Certificate(ifapplicable)

Current PPD or Chest X-Ray

Current BLS card

Successful completionof screeningtests for the clinicalspecialty area(s) in which the RN practices

Ability to effectively elicit/provideinformation to and from appropriate individuals(including, butnot limitedto,supervisors, co-workers, clients)via strong communication skills;proficiency intheEnglish language may be required

Computer proficiency required
