Genuent is hiring a Solution Architect for our direct client in the Akron, OH area. This is a 6+ month remote contract with a tentative start date of May, 23. Qualified candidates should send their resume (Word Format) along with salary requirements to Harold Miller at Solution Architect, Applications Development The essence of the Solution Architect, Applications Development role is the translation of business requirements into a software, data architecture and design that becomes the blueprint for the solution to be deployed. The Solution Architect organizes the lifecycles of new development on future and existing products, reviewing product requirements, designing product architecture, and managing daily product development efforts within the client's business areas.The Solution Architect, through internal knowledge of core applications, software tools, and delivery processes will be responsible for managing complex interactions between business processes and technologies and translating product specifications into production level applications. They will be a major contributor to the development of engineering and design standards and assist in the ongoing support of applications.Through apprenticeship and guidance from a Senior Solution Architect, the Solution Architect, Applications Development plays key roles in project planning and project execution, often developing high-level approaches to solutions and services necessary for the success of a project. The Solution Architect is a liaison between business product teams and/or project teams and the IT resources necessary to enable a solution for the business or clinical need, be it developers, data integration or system engineers. The Solution Architect possesses detailed understanding of the information at hand, the requirements to be met, and the consumers of that information across the organization.Minimum Qualifications: Formal Education Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, or Economics or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Experience & Training Required:
  • Three (3) years in an IT role (solution or technical architect role using service and hosting solutions such as private/public cloud IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms).
  • Three (3) years' experience with the concepts, philosophies, and tools behind the design of applications, information, and underlying information technologies.
  • Exhibits strong analytical aptitude across various systems and solutions, internal and external to the organization. Analytical thinker with ability to extend knowledge of information systems and applications to business processes and to cross team collaboration. Ability to explain complex, technical concepts to lay audiences and non-IT staff.
  • Understanding of agile product management and development methods and practices
  • Experience with C#, .Net, SQL, ASP.Net, DevOps, Full Stack Developer, and Object-Oriented Design Principles required.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
  • Experience with ASP.Net Core, Angular, Web API, Bootstrap, MVC, Azure, Entity Framework, JavaScript, Typescript, and Python.
  • Microsoft platform administration and tools (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, AD); other database platform experience (Oracle) desirable but not required.
  • Database and application development (IDE) capabilities (Mgmt/Visual Studio, TOAD).
  • Delivery experience centered around Agile, Waterfall, DevOps, scaled Agile highly preferred. ; knowledge of industry practices and standards also highly preferred, including SOA, TOGAF, Zachman, ADM, ITIL, ITSM, and demand management services.
  • Able to navigate and leverage multiple vendor packages and solutions deployed across the orizanization.
  • Ability to summarize results and develop effective business presentations.
  • Ability to interact with populations both technical and non-technical, with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
Level of Physical Demands:
  • Minimal, may occasionally move computer equipment (desktop, laptop, monitor, printer, and peripherals) when necessary.

  • Architect, design, build, and document solutions that meet product specifications for shared capabilities throughout the architecture.
  • Problem analysis and resolution for home-grown internal applications or external applications plus underlying infrastructure.
  • Analysis of current processes and development methods to determine optimization potential plus subsequent planning for implementation of identified opportunities.
  • Collaborate with management and other architects to determine "Future State applications and determine plan to achieve.
  • Work with the product team to understand requirements and create technical and functional specifications.
  • Assist in product release planning and help assess feature viability/effort.
  • Aid in writing the technical section of functional specifications for new product development.
  • Provide technical and process guidance on relevant IT projects.
  • Be the subject matter expert for any new application development technology that organization wants to explore or utilize.
  • Help determine "Best Practices and "Desired Skills plus training opportunities for application developers.
  • Support DevOps maturation: Development and Deployment process and support the running Environments (IIS, Server Support, SQL, Networking, etc.).
  • Provide support across the team as reviewer and mentor (Debug, App Support, Concepts, Training, Libraries, Operation Systems, Permissions, Software, Hardware).
  • Develop tailored non-standard features and the Template and Common Libraries that new programs use.
  • Support and develop complex web applications with close adherence to security and compliance requirements.
