Title: Scrum Master Location: Ohio or remote Duration: Direct-Hire Apex Systems is seeking a highly experience Agile Scrum Master with a technical background for an exciting full-time job for a company located in Akron. OH. As a Scrum Master you will join a brand new Digital team task with leading an enterprise wide Digital transformation. You will work on digital scrum squads with a Product Owner to deliver incremental value each sprint for the products and coach others on Agile methodologies. Your primary responsibility is to help the self-organizing, self-managing squad achieve its goals. You will remove impediments and act as a shield from external distractions, create a safe working environment and you are an innovator who constantly seeks continuous improvement. - 4+ years of relevant work experience with Agile and Scrum
- Assertive, with the confidence to be voice of authority and not afraid to do what is best for the team
- Bring a high-energy and passionate outlook to the job and can influence those around you.
- Extensive Agile methodologies and experienced in coaching Scrum teams.
- Azure DevOps or similar tool (JIRA, Trello, Pivotal Tracker, etc.
- Agile coaching experience, coaching development teams and other Technical teams
- Build and coach high performing Digital Squads in developing analytical or journey products
- Will be using Azure DevOps for tracking and team management and implementing 2-week sprints
- Look for ways to strengthen digital squads, IT teams and Business teams understanding of Agile / Scrum concepts and principles
- Ensure squad actions are aligned with the vision of working on the digital teams
- Ensure Scrum practices are used and improved within and across squads
- Bring transparency to the Business and IT organization about development and grow trust between Business, IT and the Digital Squads
- Identify trade-offs between the short and long term benefits to drive shared vision between the digital squad and product owner
- Foster a continuous learning environment helping squads to inspect & adapt
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science or another related field with 7 years related experience. In lieu of a degree, you have 9 years of related experience.
- Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP) or Certified Scrum Coach (CSC) that is a plus.
- Willing to travel throughout the organization and service territory and work extended hours, as required
