Genesis10 is seeking a QA Manual Tester I. This is a remote contract position. You can be anywhere within the United States to be considered for this position.

Description: As a QA Manual Tester, you will join a digital transformation team working in an Agile environment and develop manual test scripts for internal solutions. You will spend your day building new test sets and executing a testing strategy on new internal applications built to support our employees.

Job Duties: You will ensure every feature developed by the team is tested with a blend of manual and automated testing. You will provide the team detailed information on defects found and help the Product Owner prioritize defects. You will know the Product vision and work closely with the designers and Product Owner to translate their vision into tests. You will act as a quality champion and empower teams to highly create performant and secure systems. You try all paths and edge cases in performance/security testing to create a highly resilient system. You contribute to story authoring and refinement, including acceptance criteria, definition of done, and possible edge cases. You partner with developers and automation engineers to leverage combination of automated/ manual testing to efficiently cover the system's functionality without compromising quality. You are comfortable working in a constantly changing work environment and are fully dedicated to "automate everything principle You will actively participate in a collaborative work environment. Customer: create analytics to improve customer satisfaction along the customer journey for a lifetime as they move-in to a residence, pay their bill and move to new residences. Transmission & Distribution: develop algorithms to detect asset failures, reduce outages and provide reliable electricity to customers. Smart Meter: provide customers with the electric usage they need to make smart decisions about their home as well as reduce threats and theft in the electric system.

Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or another related field. In lieu of a degree, 3 years of related experience.
Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies Comfortable working in a fast-paced iterative delivery, testing completed work in-sprint Experience with an issue tracking tools like Azure DevOps (ADO) Significant experience as a manual/ hands-on tester with multiple platforms and testing techniques Experience with manual acceptance testing at story level, exploratory and creative testing, and within fast-paced sprint cycles Skilled at finding hidden requirements, edge cases, and a "desire to break attitude Experience managing and maintaining test data sets, proficient in data querying and reporting tools and languages e.g., SQL, Excel, etc. Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts and align organization on decisions Sound problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simply Utilizes team collaboration to create innovative solutions efficiently Passionate about technology and excited about the impact of emerging / disruptive technologies
