Full service CPA firm in need of an Accountant / Tax Preparer. Located in Canton/Jackson Township our practice is growing steadily. We work with clients in almost every state, and several countries. Our focus is more on quality than quantity with attention to detail on a variety of tax and accounting projects.
This position will require preparing tax returns, organizing client files, reviewing tax notices and documents, using Quickbooks, payroll and bookkeeping, research projects, meeting clients.
Skills and qualifications that we are looking for:
Tax preparation minimum experience of 3 years with corporations, partnerships, individuals, and multi-state. Non-resident alien returns are a plus.
Quickbooks experience of at least 3 years with full knowledge of the program and experience with accountant copy, bank recs, and general file clean up
Understand profit loss and balance sheets and how to work with client files that need corrected. Financial statement experience is a plus.
Experience with quarterly payroll reports and payroll process
Quarterly planners and estimates experience is a plus
Analytical and willingness to learn
Microsoft office experience with emphasis on excel
Very detailed and organized
Excellent people skills
Good self-review is a must
Able to work independently and timely and take ownership of a project to see it through to completion
