There is strong employer demand throughout Ohio for electrical workers and apprentices, as Ohio continues its strong growth trend!
In Northern Ohio, there are oil and gas plant projects, power plants converting to natural gas, data centers, major online fulfilment centers, warehouses, steel mills, and medium-to-small commercial projects. To help us increase our presence in the commercial market and move into more residential work, we’ve created new positions for sub-journeymen workers.
In Central and Southern Ohio, work is being driven by the booming gas fracking industry, and by a cracker plant project in nearby West Virginia. Some of the state’s largest solar energy projects are coming. There are also data center projects, for instance, there is a five to seven-year Facebook project that will require at least 450 electricians.
Our Cincinnati local services not only the city, but the densely-populated Northern Kentucky area. Our employers are pursuing several large projects. The Portsmouth local expects an increase in employer demand into 2020.
Our Line construction locals also need people.
