We are looking for an
experienced Network Administrator in the Cleveland, Ohio area.Salary is in the $115,000 annually. This is full time.While remote, must be in the Cleveland area.SummaryThe Network Administrator will have expert knowledge in design, implementation, support and troubleshooting network systems including circuits, switches, routers, firewalls, and Infrastructure connectivity. Will monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues and deploy solutions. The Network Administrator will create and maintain a disaster recovery, security and backup and restore plan. The role includes designing new and re-designing existing network configurations and may assist with evaluating new technologies to optimize network efficiency and performance.Duties- Designs, implements, upgrades, manages and troubleshoots network systems including software, switches, routers, firewalls, intrusion detection/protection systems, LAN, WAN and SD-WAN
- Monitors and troubleshoots network performance (availability, utilization, latency)
- Manages network monitoring systems (PRTG, Solarwinds)
- Deploys, updates, and manages load balancers (Netscaler, F5)
- Procures network equipment and manages subcontractors involved with network installations
- Provides network technical support directly to users and through ticketing systems
- Creates technical support documentation for network systems and processes
- Coordinates additional resources needed to accomplish tasks and projects
- Develops, implements and maintains policies and procedures
- Escalates service requests as needed to meet client expectations
- Participates in supporting network requests, projects and initiatives
- Assists in adding and maintaining user accounts in voice systems (3CX, 8x8, Cisco)
- Provides on-call and remote troubleshooting support as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years' experience in designing, supporting and maintaining networks
- Ability to design, implement, administer and troubleshoot network infrastructures
- Ability to manage projects, work in a team or independently under minimal supervision
- Ability to act as a team lead providing direction and training to team members
- In-depth knowledge of DHCP, DNS, NAT, VLANs and routing
- In-depth knowledge of network hardware / software (switches, routers, firewalls)
- In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (TCP/IP, QOS, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, Spanning Tree)
- In-depth knowledge of various network cabling technologies and designs
- In-depth knowledge of Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Planning and testing
- Able to provide off hour support for implementations, upgrades, testing and troubleshooting
- Professional IT Network Certifications in Cisco, Palo Alto, or Security preferred
