Where You Will WorkConsolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM) is the primary division of Stanley Black & Decker Aerospace. We are a leading innovator and strategic partner in the manufacturing of fasteners, fittings, and engineered products for the aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. CAM is currently comprised of nine subsidiaries across the United States split among three segments. Voss Industries, an Engineered Products Company located in Berea, OH has the need to add a highly capable individual.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

New Product Development:
  • Gathering product requirements and voice-of-customer, prioritizing feature implementations, evaluating competitive product / market and improving overall user experience
  • Follow and analyze market trends, technologies and competition to position products
  • Business case development and return on investment calculations on projects
  • New product development gated processes and workflows
  • Technical and customer feedback on new product development and customer needs
  • Work with cross functional teams to manage product lifecycle
  • Product launch programs - internal, external and post-launch activities for effective and productive results
  • Act as a key representative of the business for the assigned product responsibility during development as the functional requirements are developed
Product / Project Management:
  • Translate technical details into benefits for the user
  • Effective prioritization of features that align with the best possible user and company value
  • Work with various teams (design, content, acquisition, product, sales) to implement growth strategies
  • Product portfolio strategies to prioritize and advocate for product line needs
  • Support marketing team with the creation of sales tools, content creation, and overall product marketing plan
  • Tracking of project initiatives and deliverables. Tracking and metrics to achieve results
General requirements:
  • Excellent analytical and data analysis skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Education Required
  • 4-year degree engineering is preferred, or equivalent years of experience
Experience Required
  • Knowledge of complex systems and the interconnectivity between mechanics, machine control and software
  • Industrial assembly equipment and automation system (material handling / welding / cutting / etc.) experience required
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience as a Senior Product Manager and / or Project Manager role
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and written skills
  • Proven work experience in a cross functional environment with successful results

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to lead and negotiate solutions that balance technical capability and cost / timing in accordance with business need.

  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.

  • Working knowledge in MS Office excellent Excel skills a plus
