Quality Engineer
Location : Blue Ash, OH 45242 (Open to Remote if candidate lives close to location) Duration: 6 Month, Contract to Hire (with possibility to extend) Compensation: Pay Negotiable Our large, Retail client, with over $150B in annual revenue, and operating, either directly or through its subsidiaries, 2,750 locations and maintains markets in 35 states. JOB SUMMARY This role will support Quality Assurance (QA) programs and processes in alignment with QA strategy and deliverables in an Agile/Scrum environment with minimal guidance. This individual would be responsible for providing feedback on artifacts developed during requirements, aid with the analysis phase within client projects, authoring test cases/scripts, while also performing test execution for both project and support related activities. Lead testing efforts involving coaching, mentoring, code reviews and contributing to improvements to frameworks, tools, processes, and best practices. RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide accurate estimates for QA efforts including test case design/scripting, test data management, test execution, and defect correction Identify opportunities to improve application code quality by increasing unit and integration test coverage
- Guide testing efforts involving coaching, mentoring, code reviews, and contributing to improvements to frameworks, tools, processes, and best practices
- Participate in the interviewing, selection, and onboarding of QA team members
- Participate in all ceremonies, meetings, and sessions held for the project and team
- 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and software testing environment required
- 5+ years of experience developing and executing automated test scripts required
- 3+ years of experience with test case management and utilizing risk-based testing techniques required
- 2+ years of experience with defect management and using defect management tools required
- 1 year of experience using SQL or other query methods to validate data changes in the database required
- Experience mentoring and coaching team members (remote and onsite) and working in environments utilizing the OKR work process recommended
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment and creating test data and utilizing test data management tools Familiarity with NoSQL Databases preferred
