Senior Full-Stack Developer Duration: 6 Month, Contract to HireLocation: Blue Ash, OH (Open to 100% remote)
Our large retail client is with $150B in annual revenue and operates either directly or through its subsidiaries. Our client extends across 2,750 locations and maintains markets in 35 states. JOB DESCRIPTION As a Developer, you will have the opportunity to design, build, test, maintain, and have a direct and meaningful impact on the roadmap of our client. You will be responsible for design and development of Backend and Frontend components of highly scalable eCommerce web and Merchandizing applications. The Developer strives to continuously improve the software delivery processes and practices. RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop Backend eCommerce web and Merchandizing applications in Cloud platform technologies
- Collaborate with Designers & Product Managers to iterate on the design & implementation of the product
- Work with Engineers from the full stack to build and ship features
- Monitor performance, watch for traffic drops related to usability problems & rectify the issues
- Review app and feature code, and plan future API upgrades with the development team
- 8+ years of server-side development experience with Java required
- Significant experience with the Spring Framework (Persistence, REST, Messaging, Integrations) such as Spring Boot required
- Significant knowledge of Frontend web development stack with JavaScript/CSS and Angular or React required
- Knowledge of SQL Database and NoSQL Databases (MongoDB/Cassandra) required
- Significant experience in Messaging architectures & development- Kafka or equivalent preferred
- Proven Experience working with Docker or similar technologies, GIT, CI/CD and writing unit/integration tests
- Experience with modern Microservice Architecture
- Proven Experience in building RESTful APIs and a deep understanding of REST principles
- Understanding of the entire development process (design, development, and deployment)
