Qualifications
  • Requires 2 to 5 years with BS/BA or 0 to 2 years with MS/MA/MBA or 8 to 10 years with no degree.
  • Willingness to learn administration of High-Performance Computing (HPC) clusters using Microsoft HPC Pack and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  • Familiarity with system accreditation standards for Risk Management Framework (RMF) and System Security Policy.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies, Cisco firewalls and networking.
  • Clearance Requirement: Due to the nature of the work, candidates for this position need to be a U.S. citizen, possess and maintain a DoD Secret or higher level security clearance.
  • Required DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Baseline Certification: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent.
  • Obtain relevant OS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Clearance Requirement: Due to the nature of the work, candidates for this position need to be a U.S. citizen, possess and maintain a DoD Secret or higher level security clearance.

Do you want to be part of a proven team working on the next generation of space launch vehicles providing access to space? If yes, then this is an excellent opportunity to utilize your Information Technology (IT) skills in providing IT platforms and capabilities to ensure analytical engineering requirements are met. You will support a team performing engineering analysis on the National Security Space Launch program to ensure customer success. Join a team of highly skilled rocket scientists performing Independent Validation and Verification (IV&V) tasks for classified payloads launching on ULA Atlas V, Delta IV Heavy, SpaceX Falcon 9 and New Entrant launch vehicles including the SpaceX Falcon Heavy and ULA Vulcan launch vehicles and perhaps one day in the development SpaceX Starship launch vehicle.

Specific responsibilities for this position include, but not limited to:

  • Install, maintain, and support a secure Microsoft Windows and Linux network.
  • Maintain file servers, firewalls, network access, security monitoring systems and system documentation as required.
  • Provide IT related support to quickly resolve problems.
  • Ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure.
  • Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance.
  • Perform periodic maintenance, hardware upgrades and replacement, firmware updates and system configuration changes.
  • Perform scheduled backups on systems.
  • Manage data backup library to include storage of tapes, disks and other magnetic.
