HR Generalist

DescriptionHR Generalist opportunity for a manufacturing company east of Fort Wayne.Responsibilities include:Payroll preparation and reconciliation.Benefit administration (401K, health insurance, dental, vision, ST and LT Disability,Accident, and Critical Illness).Employment application intake and screening.Maintains confidential personnel files and personnel actions.Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.Onboarding of new employees (orientation, etc.).Prepares job postings.Prepares and distributes employee review packets to the appropriate supervisor.Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment status.Compliance with State and Federal labor laws, such as FMLA and FLSA laws.Workers Compensation administration.Participates in the Safety Committee and meeting minutes note taker.Analyzes current record keeping procedures and identifies opportunities forimprovement.Coordinates companies special events including holiday partiesRequirements2+ years prior payroll process experience for hourly and salaried employeesprior HR support related to recruiting, hiring, onboarding and benefit administrationBachelor's degreed desired but not requiredRobert Half Finance & Accounting, the world's leader in specialized financial staffing, provides exciting full-time opportunities in the areas of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more.
