2/24/2020Job DescriptionAVI Foodsystems at Aultman Hospital is seeking a few good candidates for the Clinical Nutrition Manager position. The successful candidate we are looking for must be experienced and talented in a healthcare setting. Qualified candidates should be able to:
Work closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy
Conduct and document nutritional screening, assessment, planning and evaluation
Recruit, interview, hire, and facilitate training of new employees to meet department staffing needs and ensure patient confidentiality; follows HIPAA guideline
Serve as a nutrition educator for the other healthcare professionals and department employees; act as a nutrition resource for the community
Direct the provision of medical nutrition therapy by supervising the activities of clinical dietitians and diet office staff, including nutrition screening, assessment, monitoring, and education according to established departmental policies
Manage resources in a cost effective manner
Participate in performance improvement efforts
Observe compliance to established standards of practice; JCAHO, OSHA, State/Federal/County guidelines
Maintain the professional competency and skills required for professional practice
Perform additional tasks/duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from an approved/accredited university or college program, a Master’s Degree is preferred
Registered Dietitian with The Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and currently Licensed or ability to be Licensed in the State of Ohio
Work in a standing or walking position for 10 –20% of the work time
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently
