Chemlock Nutrition is a small but fast-growing animal nutrition company based in West Chester, OH. Chemlock was founded in 2010 by former executives from two of the world's largest ingredient manufacturers, including former M.I.T. alumni. In 2018, Chemlock was on INC's list of fastest growing private companies in America.
We're looking for a superstar with an Accounting background/experience who also has strong writing skills and an obsession with detail. More than anything, we're trying to build a team of the smartest/most likable people on the planet.
Also, as some of our products are deemed "commodities," sometimes our only differentiator is the customer experience. For example, just this week, because we were a single day late on a delivery to our client in Vancouver, we found a local pizza company there to spell out the customer's name in pepperonis and deliver enough pizzas for everyone's Friday lunch.
Below is a list of specific job functions:
1) Accounts/Receivable + Accounts/Payable
2) Financial Analyses
3) Inventory Management
4) Internal Auditing
Besides the main tasks above, everyone wears many peripheral hats, but the clock moves fast around here since the work is engaging and there's always much to do.
Completing these tasks effectively would require someone who's reliable enough that they don't have to be asked twice, and malleable enough in their thinking that they're able to see other options besides the most obvious. That malleability characteristic would also be helpful in their ability to learn quickly.

1) Being both organized and creative, a nimble combination
2) Inclination to overcommunicate
3) Extremely high attention to detail
4) Natural Curiosity (asks a lot of questions/automatically google stuff to learn more)
