Part Time Deli Clerk

We are hiring enthusiastic, self-driven Part Time Deli Clerks to provide excellent customer service to customers in the deli department of local grocery stores. As a Deli Clerk, you will be responsible for the slicing and merchandising of meat and cheese products, servicing multiple stores in your area in one day. The ideal candidate has excellent presentation skills and the ability to expertly articulate product features and benefits. To be successful in this role, you must be comfortable using a large meat slicer and be able take ownership of your work-station by maintaining sanitation standards.

Things To Consider:
Shifts are 6-8 hours and generally on Monday, Thursday, Friday, with occasional weekend opportunities
Travel between stores could be up to 20 to 30 miles (you will be compensated for travel time)

What You’ll Do:
You will be responsible for servicing up to three stores in your area in one day
Operate large meat slicer to prepare products according to customer orders
Safe operation of meat slicing equipment
Ensure all cases and shelves are clean and well-stocked
Monitor product quality and freshness and ensure proper rotation of product
Label, package, wrap, weigh, and other merchandising duties
Sample meat products to increase product visibility and generate sales
Perform in-store product demonstrations as needed
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, G.E.D. or 1- 2 years equivalent applicable work experience
You must have your own reliable transportation and be able to provide proof of insurance
Experience in event marketing, demonstrations, sales, brand promotion, or retail/grocery highly desirable
Ability to travel to other stores in your area
Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
Daily access to Internet/email and/or smartphone required
