What
The purpose of this study is to to see if deep repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (DTMS) is effective in treating subjects suffering from PTSD. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation is a brain stimulation technique. It involves generating a brief magnetic field in a coil that is placed on the scalp.
DTMS is investigational, which means that this therapy is not approved by the Food and Drug Administration. Participants will receive real or sham (inactive) DTMS 3 times a week for 4 consecutive weeks. There are also 2 follow-up visits.
Who
Adults age 22-68 who have at least moderate PTSD.
Pay
Eligible participants will be compensated $20 per completed visit (up to $320) for their time and travel.
