Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) sector is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Professional to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Cincinnati, Ohio.The NGMS Cincinnati team develops new capabilities for our military, intelligence, and other government customers. We solve complex problems developing cyber hardware and software solutions. Reviews and interprets existing and proposed environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations to determine applicability and impact for sites. Assists with implementation of programs to comply.

Partners with business leaders to continuously improve the culture, awareness, and accountability in support of EHS programs.

Assists with the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS programs to ensure compliance, injury prevention, and risk mitigation.

Completes audits, IH sampling, ergonomic assessments, and assists in pollution prevention activities.

Interfaces with regulatory representatives, senior management, the site EHS Committee, and the Emergency Response, and Crisis Management teams.

Implements EHS management systems sector-level programs and associated documentation.

Additional roles and responsibilities may include:

Serves as liaison with regulatory agencies.

Provides timely and accurate submission of necessary reports to the company and regulatory agencies.

Writes and updates EHS plans and procedures.

Applies for new permits and renewals.

Conducts audits and identifies actions necessary to meet regulatory requirements.

Coordinates EHS training for employees and conducts instructor-led EHS training.

Supports the site's environmental sustainability program.

Basic Qualifications:

BS degree in industrial hygiene, engineering, environmental science, or a related field and a minimum of and 5 years of relevant engineering experience OR STEM related Master of Science (MS) degree with 3+ years of relevant engineering experience.

Experience with managing various EHS compliance; experience in completing industrial hygiene assessments and sampling; oversight of third-party consultants/contractors; and/or implementation of EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, OSHA VPP).

US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

MS degree in an EHS program of study, or currently enrolled in a MS degree program.

Professional certifications in EHS related programs such as a Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).

Experience with SAP and Microsoft SharePoint programs.

Computer based skills specifically with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point programs.

Active security clearance.

Salary Range: $86,300 USD - $129,500 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
