Title: Platform Engineer - Linux/Unix Expert Location: Cincinnati, OH – (Locals & On-Site Only) Duration: Contract to Hire Direct ClientJOB SUMMARYPlatform Engineer - Linux/Unix ExpertJOB DESCRIPTION CONTRACT TO HIRE. WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK ONSITE 5 DAYS/WEEK AT MOB. NO REMOTE CANDIDATES.MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:•10+ IT work experience relevant to the position.•Strong problem-solving and communication skills.•Willingness to work in a highly-collaborative environment.•Solid understanding and significant experience with modern software development practices, tools, and/or hardware technologies.•Solid understanding of IT security best practices.•Expertise in one or more technical and/or functional domains relevant to the position.•Experience designing, implementing, and supporting complex technical solutions.•Results driven, attention to detail, ability to work independently•Demonstrated experience in key IT Service Management areas (Incident, Problem, Knowledge and Change Management)•Proficient w/ AIX/Linux platform•While focus would be on AIX/Linux based solutions, ability to support and deploy Windows Server based solutions a plus.•Familiarity with networking concepts and requesting network services: Routing, Firewalls, NATs, etc.•Working knowledge of real-time messaging and batch file transfer implementation and troubleshooting using different packages and methodologies (MQ, FTP, SCP, Sterling, etc)•Experience with application integrations to databases in Oracle, MS-SQL and DB2; include ability to assist with management of databases with database management team participation.•Cloud computing knowledge and experience a plus.Kind Regards, Sunil VargansVacancy expired!
