JOB DESCRIPTION

Our large, Retail client, with over $150B in annual revenue, and operating, either directly or through its subsidiaries, 2,750 locations with markets in 35 states is looking for a Process Specialist- Data Analyst to manage and develop best practices and projects to achieve results. They will be responsible for the management of data, including gathering, summarizing, and analyzing the data necessary for best practices development and rollout and summarizing the business impact and communicating an analysis of the data globally and at a high level.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pull data from corporate and/or division systems as needed
  • Perform selected and/or required key analysis as needed
  • Maintain store and/or department-level database
  • Develop and maintain store/department savings estimate model and database
  • Ensure rollouts and best practices support and align with the Customer 1st strategy
  • Demonstrate leadership within the team structure and during activities
  • Create management capabilities and processes that sustain continuous improvement
  • Summarize and communicate an analysis that provides best practices recommendations to the business owner and team
REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of data analyst and/or process specialist experience
  • Knowledge of store operations
  • Experience and desire to manage large data sets
  • Strong skills in R, SQL, and Power BI
  • Creative and alert to new ways of approaching tasks
  • Ability to be collaborate with committees to achieve desired results
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient at multi-tasking with a high level of initiative
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer skills
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements and programs available to retrieve information (Focus, Business Objects)
  • Ability to delve into new areas and facilitate change across the company
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to effectively lead associates to achieve objectives
  • Knowledge of in-store activities, including observations, performance measurements and summarizing observations
  • Knowledge of lean tools and methodologies
  • Display a high degree of organizational skills, including the prioritization of appropriate tasks, resources, and schedules
