With company revenues of $22 billion and the largest investment in R&D in the industry, we give our people the resources and chances to create meaningful donations to the world.Location/Division Specific InformationUS - Cincinnati, OH - 2110 East Galbraith Road/Drug Product DivisionSchedule: Monday - Friday, 2:30pm - 10:00pm EST (Flexible due to lab equipment availability)Our Cincinnati Pharmaceutical Services Group develops and manufactures a wide range of pharmaceutical products to enable our customers to make a healthier world.Discover Impactful Work:As a Laboratory Team Member you will coordinate with your supervisor and collaborate with colleagues in diverse groups to assure that critical timelines are met. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with your peers within the laboratory and those in other departments such as formulations, operations, project management and quality assurance on a regular basis. You will perform analytical methods for elaborate testing for validated and experimental methods and other tests as needed to support lab operations. You will participate in the validation of analytical test methods when additional resources are required.A Day in the Life:

Conducts moderately elaborate chemical and physical testing of pharmaceutical for in-process, stability, and finished products as well as compendial test methods at times.

Verify and pre-validate logical and rational testing in preparation for method transfer to our Commercial facilities at the Cincinnati site.

Develop and validate methods to test pharmaceutical finished products for strength, identity, impurities and dissolution performance by commonly used techniques.

Maintain and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation as needed.

Chronicles and transcribes results of analysis in accordance with prescribed lab procedures and systems.

Cleans and prioritizes work area, instrumentation, and testing materials.

Completes all duties in strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices, and Safety guidelines.

Keys to Success:EducationBachelor’s degree in physical science, Chemistry or Biology preferred.High School Diploma required.ExperienceExperience performing chemical tests with chromatographic, spectroscopic, or other analytical technique preferred.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Working knowledge and understanding of chemistry and analytical technologies.

Firm grasp of qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis.

Understanding of quality and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry, including pharmaceutical GMPs and descriptive organic chemistry.

Proficiency to address problems and a logical strategy to resolving scientific challenges.

Proficiency with HPLC, GC, LC/MS and Dissolution techniques (method development and validation).

Satisfactory interpersonal (both oral and written). Good presentation skills to present information to our clients, other departments and other laboratory employees.

Ability to interpret technical procedures, industry mentors and regulations. Harmonize these documents into instructions and policy manuals for our company.

Capable to apply mathematical operations, to such tasks as determination of test reliability, analysis of variance, and correlation techniques.

Physical Requirements:

Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 10-35 pound pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and type for prolonged periods of time; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time.

Safety glasses, safety shoes, lab coat, latex or similar gloves, safety apron, organic respirator occasionally.
