CBTS is currently seeking a Full Time Risk Analyst for a position located in Cincinnati, OH.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Managing threat and risk analysis that helps to protect the organization from information and cyber security risks
  • Providing knowledge and tools to measure risk, identify threats and guide IT management toward mature IT governance
  • Adhering to IT risk standards and utilizing best practice frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, SANS, NIST, MAR, etc.
  • Ensuring effective execution of the risk management framework by managing relationships with key stakeholders within strategic business groups and technology
  • Ensuring the company is compliant with regulatory requirements and best practices as defined by industry experts and internal audit
  • Developing methods to monitor and measure risk, compliance and assurance efforts
  • Developing IT risk and information security compliance processes and/or assessments for external services (e.g. third party business partners)
  • Monitoring and inspect results to confirm that the level of risk is within acceptable limits and recommend actions to correct any deviations
  • Providing an accurate technical evaluation of the software application, system, or network, documenting the security posture, capabilities, and vulnerabilities against relevant internal audit standards and compliance requirements
  • Developing and implement practical and achievable policies and standards for the protection of business information
  • Performing periodic risk assessments of critical systems and infrastructure to assess information risks
  • Developing tracking, and reporting on Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for information technology
  • Monitoring, tracking and reporting mitigation and resolution of IT risks
  • Working with business continuity plan owners to review and maintain policies, standards and procedures for business continuity; maintain and update recovery/contingency plan goals
  • Ensuring that business unit resumption plans are reviewed and/or updated on agreed-upon basis
  • Assisting with responding to all internal and external audit requests
  • Completing task-level work associated with audit recommendations
  • Providing and/or completing requests for information from: Regulatory Examiners, State Departments of Insurance, Federal Regulators, and Due Diligence Surveys from critical business partners
  • Coordinating business continuity tabletop exercises (loss of building, technology, people) and report results/recommendations to management
  • Working with IT management to ensure IT governance and processes are in place, that lines of accountability are developed and followed, that strategic planning incorporates the need for evolving IT solutions and that legal and regulatory obligations are fulfilled
  • Identifying applicable regulatory risks from changes or additions to regulatory guidance and requirements
  • Communicating key risks, findings and recommendations for improvement with key stakeholders
  • Developing and provide awareness through training sessions, newsletters and other activities
  • Advising IT leadership on innovative business and technology trends in IT risk and controls
  • Responsible for working with IT disaster recovery teams to review and confirm alignment with business recovery requirements
  • Monitoring projects, programs and initiatives for adherence to IT risk goals and objectives
  • Performing risk analysis of corporate business continuity plans to identify and classify risk exposures and work with risk/plan owners to provide recommendations to mitigate risk exposures and improve risk management strategies
