DescriptionThe Supervising Pharmacist will be responsible for the leadership, development, and daily oversight of 15-25 associates. This individual will be results oriented, with the ability and experience to be able to drive a team to produce and achieve goals while serving as primary link to the department for management and support teams.ResponsibilitiesThe Supervising Pharmacist will be responsible for the leadership, development, and daily oversight of 15-25 Dr Call Queue associates. This individual will be results oriented, with the ability and experience to be able to drive a team to produce and achieve goals while serving as primary link to the department for management and support teams. Facilitates team meetings, intervenes as necessary to keep the team's goals and results consistent with company direction, and works with the team members to develop their full potential. The supervisor, in conjunction with the team, is responsible for meeting quality, production, service, and cost metrics.Job Responsibilities:Supervise a team primarily, including but not limited to directing daily work activities/priorities, time tracking, people recruitment and development, cost management and workforce planning. Provides general supervision and guidance within functional area.
Utilizes knowledge and experience to provide on-going training and support to team members.
Helps team achieve goals and has responsibility for personnel issues, including required discipline.
Strives to be technically proficient in department operations.
Provides assistance to the team in situations that require problem resolution
Assures proper planning when implementing process improvement or systematic changes, including but not limited to including up and down stream partners and support teams in decision making
Research and provide root cause and corrective action plans as necessary
Lead, build, and empower direct reports in a way that encourages and supports the growth and development of both competencies and contributions.
Regularly utilize analytical skills for decision making.
Demonstrate critical thinking skills
Conduct performance reviews, motivate team members and create strategies to boost productivity
Set performance goals and project deadlines that align with the company's larger plans
Ensure employees adhere to company policies and legal regulations
Performs all other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, or a PharmD
Licensed as Pharmacists in State(s) of practice
Ability to participate in Federal prescription programs
Minimum of 2 years Supervisory experience
Excellent written and verbal communication
Great organizational skills and an eye for detail
Ability to work independently as well as part of a larger team
Excellent time management, analytical skills, and problem solving abilities
Proficient with computers
Preferred Qualifications:Supervisory experience in a mail order environment
