Position Title: Shift Supervisor Barista
Location: Kenwood
Reports to: General Manager
Pay: Hourly
Barista Job Summary: The Barista ensures all guests are provided with exceptional prompt service. Make any and all coffee drinks for walk-in customers. Baristas may also answer phones and process to-go orders. Additionally, during slower times the Barista will help with minor kitchen prep. The Barista describes beverage menu items, assists guests in making drink selections.
Qualifications
Proven working experience as a barista
High integrity with a great attendance record
Strong attention to detail
Ability to listen and communicate effectively
Previous Key Holder experience
Requirements:
Prior Barista experience
Knowledge of preparing hot & cold beverages: coffee, espresso drinks and teas
Must be upbeat, outgoing, and positive
Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment; multi-tasking skills are a must
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time
Ability to lift up to 35lbs as needed
Greets and welcomes guests, inviting them back as they leave.

Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.
Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues.
Assists with new hire training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
Delivers legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer. Discovers and responds to customer needs.
Follows operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.
Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and product as needed.
Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational methods.
Maintains regular and punctual attendance
Ability to multi-task
