What you'll be doing:
  • Provide technical leadership to all members of an application development team
  • Lead development of web solutions to assign work, according to individual strengths and team strengths utilizing the Microsoft Development Stack
  • Provide deep expertise in developing best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, test automation and continuous integration
  • Develop, motivate, mentor and coach team members to continually deliver cutting-edge solutions for our internal and external customers
  • Act as a liaison to managers, product managers, and our business partners for web solutions and the solution portfolio
  • Lead architecture design sessions for new data structures, web structures, business logic, screen layouts, coding methods and services
  • Collaborate with the Architect - Emerging Technologies, and other major business constituents to strategically advance solutions in the portfolio and ensure they leverage the best available technologies and practices
  • Communicate status to users, project stakeholders, customers, sponsors, and internal IT teams
  • Utilize the development team to resolve issues in an expedited manner and make appropriate changes to prevent future occurrences
  • Collaborate with, educates, support and provide tools for help desk staff to efficiently and effectively support users, in order to minimize support requests to the development team
  • Document new programs and changes to existing programs and be an active part of change management

What you need:
  • Proven experience managing people and leading a team
  • Be an active listener & communicator while taking proactive steps in managing problems
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels, from the new college hire engineer to an executive audience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment using Agile Scrum Development Methodology
  • Strong drive to design and build solutions utilizing and integrating a team to achieve consistently effective results
  • Desire to be cutting-edge and willing to stay on top of the emerging technologies
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT related field
