- PowerBI developers with strong critical thinking skills.
- Solid depth of understanding of PowerBI. NOT looking for 'just' a report developer that needs to be directed. Looking for examples of strong critical thinking skills and
- Experience migrating legacy reports into PowerBI.
- Data wrangling, writing and doing complex math for DAX capabilities. Context Reference related to filtering and slicing and dicing data.
- Experience with enterprise-level clients and subsequent complexities.
- Strong Azure platform knowledge and experience.
- SAP experience a plus.
- Need a firm understanding of both PowerBI desktop software AND publishing out to the service.
- Build common or core datasets that can be leveraged across multiple reports.
- Creating something 1 time to provide repeatable and reusable components.
- Strong sense of Ownership -> 'clarified' requirements are probably not feasible Not all of the requirements will be fully vetted and this person will need to help drive out and refine requirements. This person will need to be inquisitive and drill a bit further into what story the business is really trying to tell.
- Needs to work with the business to understand what story they want to tell then coach them on what's possible. End result of the solution: How can we make this look to tell the story with the data / visuals
- Needs a consultative mentality v contractor 'order-taking' mentality
- They're essentially putting a flashy paint job on a car while it's driving down the road
- This person will need to work with other teams (modeling, engineering, platform owners, etc.) to advise on how they need to build things downstream
- This person needs to drive work that is more analytics focused for PowerBI v more operational or paginated reporting
